So Much in One Year
A few days from now will mark the first anniversary of SandraJJackson.com. This past year has been amazing. I have learned so much and yet there is still so much more to learn.
Since my journey began I have: released a novel, kept up two blogs, been interviewed for print and radio, spent hours interacting on various social media sites, marketed, received wonderful reviews, attained professional status for the CAA (Canadian Author’s Association), established my brand, and had a couple of book signings. Every bit has been enjoyable. I feel as though I have found my niche in life and it only took me 47 years.
This last month has been a busy yet satisfying one as I completed two more manuscripts. The first is with a beta reader and the second will soon undergo the first round of edits. I am also in the process of editing a short story for the Canada Writes Competition. At the end of October I will be signing books at our local craft show.
Before I started this journey I would never have imagined the amount of time and effort that I would need to invest. I would never have imagined just how much fun it was going to be. The experience has been life changing.
I continue to look forward to the future. My head is full of story ideas just waiting to get out and I can hardly wait to get them down on paper. But, patience is a virtue, and the stories will come out one at a time. I only hope it won’t take me another half a century.
