Seamróg

Like many holidays, St. Patrick’s Day has its share of legends, myths and symbolism. One notable symbol, and probably the most popular, is the shamrock. Legend says that St. Patrick used the shamrock to depict the Holy Trinity. It is the reason for the green theme. Not to mention the myth of it bringing good luck should you find one with four leaves.

Shamrock or clover, clover or shamrock, are they the same? I found this article 17 Things You Didn't Know About Shamrocks by Mary Jo DiLonardo to be quite interesting. The shamrock is a three-leafed plant with a big reputation. It is surrounded by myth, denoted in religion and is even edible. Check out the article and find what you didn’t know about this pretty little plant.
